Time Terminals - Touch Screens

The VisionTime Touch Terminal is an innovative product from FlexTime – which brings a new interactive method of providing your Staff and Supervisors with access to Time & Absence records.
There are several aspects to VT Touch -
Firstly, using this elegant and modern looking device, Staff can clock-in/out of the VisionTime system.
As the screen can be of varying sizes, typically 17’’, the Terminal can display a lot more information than conventional Time Terminals are capable of - while also allowing for considerably more interacrtity and functionality. For instance - Staff can -
- Call up reports showing their clocking times and holiday records over periods selected
- Submit corrections and updates to their time and absence records and also see if & when those updates have been authorised by supervisor
- Clock in/out on business absence; onto jobs and also confirm what location he/she is working at
There are also helpful pieces of information on the Screen, for example, how many hours are being worked and balances etc.

Business Absence
Designated employees can record hours while out of the office [see longer description elsewhere]. Using a "drop down" box on the clocking screen it is also possible for employees to "tell" the system, where they are going when leaving the workplace and also when they expect to return. For example, this way the switchboard operator knows if the employee has left the building, where he/she has gone and the expected time of return.
Meanwhile wall-mounted TV screens can also show if the employee is present or absent.
Job and Location Timing
A further option is the facility for employees to record the time spent on jobs or at locations. Again this feature can be allocated on a person by person basis. It can even be provided temporarily, say for use on specific projects. We call this module VisionTime JTL i.e. Job Times and Locations.
Touch Screens can also be used in conjunction with other clocking concepts e.g PC clocking, Time Terminals, Mobile Phones etc. For one person to use all of the options might be unlikely - but it does explains just how much work MultiTime has put into the integration of the clocking methods that we offer.
So I could clock at a Time Terminal in the morning, then clock out at a my PC for lunch time. After lunch I could clock back in via an Access Control terminal at a door way, while going home I could use a conveniently located Touch Screen. The next day I am not on site - so I could clock via my mobile phone - and so on.
Therefore all of our clocking methods are interactive with each other.
Also at a Touch Screen the Supervisors can check and authorise corrections/updates which have been submitted by staff. As all activity is in real time, it means that data is available to supervisors instantly. Equally, with VT Touch there is no need to purchase plastic cards & no need for card encoding - as access is via a P.I.N.
VT Message -
With the VT Message facility, supervisors can leave messages for staff and vice versa - e.g. "your shift for next week is". Messages can even be unrelated to time and absence - thereby making VT Message a powerful communication tool.
This is particularly useful for where either party work different shifts and may not meet each other easily and where Staff have no access to email e.g. hotels, hospitals, factories.
